EICN procedure for new users

  1. Contact one of the EICN Associate Directors to see how EICN may help in your project.
Ivo Atanasov: Help regarding cryo electron microscopy and 3D tomography approaches
    Sergey Ryazantsev: All other requests.

  2. Decide if EM is right for your project.
Does your project budget include EM? Would you like to do EM with us? If so, please complete and sign the EICN Application and User Agreement (pdf, right-click to download). The user agreement must be signed by the user and PI and presented to EICN personnel for approval.

  3. EICN is a self-service facility.
Training is required in order to use EICN equipment. Please set an appointment with one of the directors for training. Up to six hours of training are provided free of charge.

  4. Create an account.
CNSI uses a centralized instrumentation reservation system for all facilities. Create an account with CNSI here in order to sign in for the instrument. For further information on CLMS accounts, click here.

  5. Users are permitted to use the EICN facility after creating a CNSI account, signing an EICN User Agreement and completing training. Users must comply with general CNSI and internal EICN policies and be aware of charges related to using EICN. All users have equal access to the EICN facility on a first come, first serve basis during the normal working hours (Internet-based reservation system is available for registered users).

Note: existing EMi users are considered as EICN users automatically. Nevertheless, they must create a CNSI account and comply with general CNSI and internal EICN policies for access to EICN facility.

We are looking to hear from you!
EICN personnel.
